02-12-2016 08:46:27:Clouds are setting in, should be a good day to head through the trees and bomb groomers.

Warmer weather has softened up all the snow. Yesterday was phenomenal corn skiing, awesome spring-like conditions. I skied until my legs couldn’t anymore. West Bowl, The Benches, Face, Cheap Chutes, Most/Raven, Motherlode – it didn’t matter if it was a groomer or off trail. Today looks like it should be good again. More of the same only there’s a chance of light rain.

Porcupine, Hooter, and Ptarmigan lifts start at 9:00 AM, with Ptarmigan closing at 3:30 and Porcupine and Hooter closing at 4:00. Bowls close at least 30 minutes before last chair.

Nordic skiers! If you are an intermediate and above skier and interested in improving your skills, Scott McGee, the PSIA National Nordic Team Coach and one of the highest regarded Nordic coaches in the world is coming to Eaglecrest. We’re offering classic and skate lessons this weekend. Check out our website or call the Snowsports School at 790-2000 x211 for reservations.

All mountain services are open. The whole month of February our Retail and Repair Shops will have great deals: $10 off full tunes, $5 off edge/wax combos, and T-Shirts for just $13! The thought for the day is this – “Winter is not over. Right now we’re just ahead of schedule for spring skiing.”
